Puppy training can be hard at first but it gets easier with patience.
The following guide should help you have it sorted in no time.
House Training Your Puppy
Timing
Timing is essential, as is a good routine. 6-8 week old puppies should be taken out every 1-3 hours.
A good routine might include - when he/she wakes up, after meals, after naps, after playing, and before bedtime.
Expect the unexpected
Your puppy will have mishaps and wet your floor, so we highly recommend putting down puppy pads.
Unlike newspaper, they will soak up urine and can be used again.
The pads are also scented, which encourages the puppy to use them, rather than your floor.
If puppy goes on the floor before you have the pads down, turn the pad upside down onto his/her urine & soak it onto the pad, then place the pad back in an appropriate spot.
Also try taking a clean pad with you to puppies’ toilet outside, so he/she will realize what the pad is for.

Training
Puppy crate training is an excellent way to train your puppy.
Puppies rarely wet their bed, so confining them to the bed only will teach them to hold it till morning, or until you return.
Anytime puppy needs to go to the toilet, put on a collar & lead and bring him/her to a designated spot in the garden, repeat a word like toilet or potty so he/she knows what to do.
Repeat this over and over, so puppy gets into a routine.
Reward
Treat your puppy with a tasty reward when he/she has used the training method correctly.
Puppy will soon catch on and realize he/she will get a treat for being good!
Voice Tones
Puppies pick up on how you speak to them.
Tell them “No” when they wet inside. This should be done in a strong, firm voice.
When you are outside using the garden, “potty or toilet” should be said in an encouraging voice & “Good Boy/Girl” should be used in an excited voice, letting them know they have done well.
